Participation in a meeting with the ambassadors of the G5 Sahel countries in Washington
Her Excellency Mrs. Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United States of America, participated in a meeting of the ambassadors of the G5 Sahel countries with a high-level mission delegated by the General Secretariat of the G5 Sahel countries, with a letter addressed by the General Secretary of the Group to the President of the World Bank Group, Mr. David Malpas, related to the request of the G5 Sahel countries to facilitate access to funds by the International Development Agency of the World Bank. This mission was headed by Dr. Issa Dobrieng, Chadian Minister of Economy and President of the council of Ministers of the G5 Sahel, and Ambassador Eric Yamdougou Tiare, Executive Secretary of the group.
The meeting highlighted the main objectives and pillars of the development of the G5 Sahel countries as it also discussed ways of cooperation and strengthening methods of pressure within Washington to obtain important support from influential institutes in the United States of America to gain more support for the benefit of the Sahel group countries to face challenges and achieve development for the populations of the group countries.
