Election of a Mauritanian as chairman of the African Group in Washington on Human and Sustainable Development
Her Excellency Mrs. Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United States of America, participated in the monthly meeting of the African Diplomatic Corps accredited in Washington DC (ADC). The meeting discussed ways to promote cooperation between the African Group and the United States of America. On the sidelines of the meeting were also elected work committees for the African Group of which a Mauritanian was approved by consensus as chairman of the committee in charge of human and sustainable development (global health-education-environment-gender-youth).
This committee will work on coordinating two main files for the African group, namely the Corona pandemic and climate change.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador and the Counselor Abderrahmane El Haj Gaye.
