Participating in a meeting of the African Union Mission in Washington

On March 10th, 2022, Her Excellency Mrs. Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United States of America, has participated in a meeting with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, His Excellency Mr. Moussa Faki at the African Union Mission in Washington, during his visit to the United States of America from 9th to March 11th, which falls within the framework of consolidating African American relations. 

During her intervention, the Ambassador thanked His Excellency Mr. Moussa Faki for the efforts aimed at reforming the Union and promoting the development of the continent, and also referred to the leading role played by Mauritania in the G5 Sahel region, considering that the security situation in this region is very worrying, and that the establishment of security in it is very important for the security of the continent as a whole, calling on His Excellency the Commissioner to urge partners, especially the American side, to support these countries of G5 group, in order to overcome all problems and challenges.
