His Excellency the Minister of Vocational Training, Traditional Industry and Crafts holds a series of meetings in Washington, DC.

His Excellency Mr. Maa El Ainain Ould Ayih, Minister of Vocational Training, Traditional Industry, and Crafts of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, accompanied by Her Excellency Ms. Cissé Mint Cheikh Boide, Mauritanian Ambassador to the United States, held a high-level meeting on May 13, 2025 with Ms. Dana L. Banks, Senior Advisor at the Africa Business Center of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Elington Arnold, Manager of the Center.

Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including skills development, knowledge exchange, technical training, and improving market access for Mauritanian products.

The participation of Mr. Jeff Kerilla, Vice President for Global Public Policy at Kosmos Energy, highlighted the strategic role of the U.S. private sector in deepening partnerships and supporting Mauritania’s socio-economic development. Members of the Minister’s delegation were also present at the meeting.
