Meeting of the Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee with the United States Agency for International Development

On May 3, 2023, Mr. Ahmed Salem Buhoubeyni, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee, held a meeting with Ms. Mundi Miyangou, Assistant Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The meeting dealt with a presentation by the President on the progress achieved in the fields of human rights in our country, and valued the role played by the Agency to assist and support the Government of our country to achieve development goals.

Her Excellency Cisse Cheikh BOIDE called, during her intervention, for the Agency’s thinking in finding a special program that supports and assists the Committee to promote and develop the field of human rights in our country.   

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee, Ambassador Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, First Counselor at the Embassy, Jiddou Ould Abderrahmane, Jeanine Davis, Deputy Assistant Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, and Ms. Katie kronin, in charge of the West Africa Office at the United States Agency for International Development.
