Mauritania’s ambassador to Washington participates in a meeting with her counterparts in Washington.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Washington, Ms. Cisse Mint Cheikh Ould Beida, along with her counterparts accredited to Washington, participated today, April 29, 2025, at the Riggs Library at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., in a meeting convened by former Ambassador-at-Large Ms. Melanne Verveer, Executive Director of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security, and Ms. Samia Faruki, President of Women in Peacebuilding in the Middle East and North Africa. The meeting addressed women’s leadership in the world and the successes women have achieved both domestically and internationally.
