Mauritania’s delegation to Washington holds talks with the Deputy Director of the World

The delegation of our country participating in the Spring Meetings organized by the Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, held a meeting on Thursday with the Vice President of the World Bank in charge of Africa, Ousmane Diagana.

The meeting was devoted to discussing the partnership relations that bind our country with the World Bank, where they discussed the portfolio of projects implemented by the Bank in our country, as well as funding requests.

During the discussion of the of projects implemented by the World Bank in our country, His Excellency the Minister of Economic Affairs revealed that improving and accelerating the implementation of these projects is a priority for the government following the strict instructions of the President, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and His Prime Minister who also devoted a significant place in his presentation of the government's general policy to this file.

Our country was represented in this meeting by the Ministers of Economic Affairs Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, of Finance Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed Ambadi, the Governor of the Central Bank Mohamed Lemine Ould Dhehbi, and our country’s ambassador to Washington, Mrs. Cisse Cheihk BOIDE, and several sectors’ officials in the delegation.
