The Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee visits the United States of America

Mr. Ahmed Salem Ould Bouhoubeyni, Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, will start a working visit to the United States of America between April 30, 2023, and May 12, 2023, during which the President will hold several meetings with various sectors in the US administration and non-governmental organizations such as the White House, the US Department of State and Trade, the MCC Foundation, AGOA, USAID, Labor and AFLCIO.

The President will also give a lecture at the American Center for Peace under the title Human Rights and Political Transformations in the Sahel Region, and the President will hold meetings with representatives of the Mauritanian community offices in the United States of America and some Mauritanian human rights organizations in the United States of America.

The President began these meetings today, May 1, 2023, by holding a working meeting with Her Excellency Ambassador Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, in the presence of Counselor Jiddou Ould Abderrahmane and Counselor Abderrahmane Gaye. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss and go over the program and importance of the visit for the benefit of our country.
