Mauritanian delegation discusses in Washington opportunities to benefit from World Bank funding

On October 12, 2022, the Mauritanian delegation participating in the annual meetings of the Bretton Woods institutions held talks with the World Bank’s Vice President for West and Central Africa, Ousmane Diagana, during which they reviewed the projects implemented by the World Bank in Mauritania.

The meeting also discussed “ways to make the best use of the financing provided by the Bank to our country, whether they are grants, soft loans or budgetary support.”

The Mauritanian Ministers of Economic Affairs and Productive Sectors Ousmane Kane and the Minister of Finance Isselmou Ould Mohamed Mbadi participated in the talks on the Mauritanian side, in addition to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United States, Ms. Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, and the Touring Ambassador Mr. Samba Thiam.
