Participation in a Meeting with The US Department of State’s Protocol Office.

Her Excellency Mrs. Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United States of America, participated via video conference technology, in a meeting organized by the Office of Protocol at the US State Department between Her Excellency Mrs. Wendy Sherman, US Deputy Secretary of State, and the diplomatic corps accredited to the United States of America. 
The following two points were covered:
-	The Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
-	The consequences and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the world.
Ms. Wendy condemned what Russia is doing against Ukraine and highlighted the American position in supporting of the Ukrainian people and urged all countries to provide humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people and help in sheltering Ukrainian refugees, and as for the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, she said that the United States has been providing support to all countries, especially with regard to the vaccinations and logistical support, some ambassadors have intervened, noting this considerable effort and calling for more support.
