Mauritanian delegation to Washington meets IMF Assistant Administrator

Our country’s delegation participating in the annual meetings of the international financial institutions held a meeting with the Assistant Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kanji Okamura.

The Mauritanian delegation reviewed what it described as economic, financial, and monetary policy reforms, the macroeconomic situation, as well as the sustainability of indebtedness and the IMF program for Mauritania, which is expected to be launched early next year.

The Mauritanian delegation that participated in the meeting includes Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors Ousmane Mamadou Kane, Governor of Central Bank Mohamed Lemine Ould Dhehbi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the United States HE Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, and Mauritanian Touring Ambassador Samba Thiam.
