The Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Assistant Secretary of State for Cultural Security, Democracy and Human Rights

On December 14, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzough, held talks with the Assistant Secretary of State for Civilizational Security, Democracy and Human Rights, Ms. Yezra Zea, during his participation in the Africa-America Summit held from December 13 to 15, 2022.

The two sides discussed the progress of the democratic system and the human rights situation in our country and stressed the need to continue cooperation in various fields.

The meeting took place in the presence of HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Washington, Ms. Cisse Cheikh BOIDE, and the First Counselor at the Embassy, Mr. Jiddou Ould Abderrahmane, in addition to a high-level delegation from the US side.
